Cooking classes with Sicilian mothers We will cook typical Sicilian dishes with the help of our favorite cooks, mothers! Over-kitchen-with-mothers-Sicilian In my house we cook a lot and abundantly, as per tradition. I also offer cooking classes in English and I am studying for French! I teach my guests to make fresh homemade pasta, traditional sauces and some special sweets that my grandmother taught me to make. In the premises of the beautiful Pupi Catania Etna bed and breakfast, with its panoramic dining room overlooking the Cyclops Riviera, I host the students with a final tasting also open to the friends of the participants. After an introduction on the ancient Sicilian grains, on the varieties of flour, on the various types of pasta processing, we will make pasta with different types of flour, water, egg, colored pasta, stuffed pasta. We will learn how to prepare the main Italian sauces: ragù with the grandmother Maria's recipe, Sicilian pesto, simple tomato sauce with the scents of Sicily, simple Trapanese sauce, sauce for pasta with sardines. We will also make the aubergine parmigiana, the caponatina, the Sicilian cannoli stuffed with fresh ricotta and many other recipes based on the type and curiosity of the group.
